A jury that was trying a murder case for a Long Beach gang member that couldn't reach a consensus, so it was declared a mistrial. The 22 year-old defendant, M.N. was charged with murdering 34 year-old, P.O, as he was riding his bike back in 2011. M.N. was allegedly fingerprinted as the killer and the prosecution declared that they had DNA proof of the defendant's guilt. The young man is a member of the Asian Boyz gang and was recently arrested in connection with another murder of two others.
He was tried for a single count of murder, as well as gun and gang charges. His attorney, Jay Glaser, argued that there were no witnesses to the shooting, nor was the gun ever recovered. The jury was divided 9-3, and told the judge that they could not reach any sort of consensus.
